wow. goodness. i got a lovely e-mail yesterday from the River Oak Review asking to publish my poem "What Einstein Saw Before Typing His Theory of Relativity," and after checking my e-mail today (some 19 hours and 1200 miles later...) i got an e-mail from The Pinch expressing their interest in publishing "The Group" and "Our Lady of the Water Glass." what a week. keep it coming.

My poems "Westbound Elegy" and "Post Grads" were taken by American Poetry Journal, "Touch" was taken by Los Angeles Review, and "Tattoo Parlor" was taken by Barn Owl Review. Also, "To the President of the American Begonia Society," "Mother’s Day," "If The World" and “Racial Memories” were taken by New York Quarterly. Apparently, it's my lucky week. It actually snowed in Texas! And I
have the following news to pass along: my short story "After Failing
at Suicide" was a finalist for the 2009 Fulton prize and now appears
in the winter issue of The Adirondack Review. Also, Squid
Quarterly nominated "In front of the Aquarium" for a Pushcart Prize.
