Two of our fiction professors, Pinckney Benedict and Jacinda Townsend, have received awards from the Illinois Arts Council. Pinckney Benedict has received a Individual Artist Fellowship in Prose for Fiscal Year 08 ($7000). Jacinda Townsend is the recipient of a Finalist Award in Prose ($700).
